It is narrated from Sayyidah Amrah bint Sahl bin Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with her), whose father was the very Companion of the two sa' whom the hypocrites taunted, that her father set out with two sa' of dates as his zakah, taking his daughter Amrah with him, and came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He poured out the two sa', then said: "O Messenger of Allah! I have a need of you." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is it?" He said: "That you supplicate for blessing for me and for her, and pass your hand over her head, for I have no child other than her." Amrah said: So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his blessed hand on me. She said: And I swear by Allah, it is as if the coolness of the hand of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is still upon my liver.
