حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الدِّمْياطِيُّ، ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ثنا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، أَنَّهَا: كَانَتْ فِي بَيْتِهَا شَاةٌ، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَنْ أَطْعِمِينَا مِنْ شَاتِكُمْ» فَقَالَتْ لِلرَّسُولِ: مَا بَقِيَ عِنْدَنَا إِلَّا الرَّقَبَةُ، وَأَنَا أَسْتَحْيِي أَنْ أُرْسِلَ بِهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَرَجَعَ الرَّسُولُ إِلَيْهِ فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَقَالَ: " ارْجِعْ إِلَيْهَا فَقُلْ لَهَا: أَرْسِلِي بِهَا فَإِنَّهَا هَادِيَةُ الشَّاةِ، وَأَقْرَبُ الشَّاةِ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَأَبْعَدُهَا مِنَ الْأَذَى "
It is narrated from Sayyidah Duba'ah bint al-Zubayr bin Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with her) that there was a goat in her house, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent her a message: "Feed us something from your goat." She said to the messenger: "We have nothing left but the neck, and I feel shy to send that to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." So the messenger went back to him (peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Go back to her and tell her: Send it, for it is the leading part of the goat (the foremost part of its body), and the part of the goat nearest to good and farthest from harm."
