Sayyidah al-Shifa' bint Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to ask him for (something), and he ((peace and blessings be upon him)) began apologising to me while I began reproaching him ((peace and blessings be upon him)). Then the time of prayer came, so I left and went to my daughter, who was married to Shurahbil bin Hasanah (may Allah be pleased with him). I found Shurahbil in the house, and I said: The time of prayer has come and you are at home? And I began reproaching him. He said: O aunt, do not reproach me; we had a garment which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) borrowed. I said: May my father and mother be sacrificed for him ((peace and blessings be upon him)); I have been reproaching him ((peace and blessings be upon him)) all day, and this is his ((peace and blessings be upon him)) condition, and I did not even know. Shurahbil said: It was only a shirt (dir') which we had patched.
