حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، ثنا نَصْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ النَّحْوِيُّ، ثنا هَدَّابٌ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الضُّرَيْسِ، عَنِ الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنِ الْجَارُودِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ طَلَبَ الدُّنْيَا بِعَمَلِ الْآخِرَةِ طُمِسَ وَجْهُهُ ومُحِقَ ذِكْرُهُ وَأُثْبِتَ اسْمُهُ فِي النَّارِ»
Sayyiduna al-Jarud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever seeks the world through the deeds of the Hereafter, his face will be disfigured, his remembrance will be erased, and his name will be recorded in Hell."
