حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ الصَّائِغُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سُبَيْعَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيَّةِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَمُوتَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَلْيَمُتْ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَمُوتُ بِهَا أَحَدٌ إِلَّا كُنْتُ لَهُ شَفِيعًا أَوْ شَهِيدًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Subay'ah al-Aslamiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever among you is able to die in Madinah, let him die there, for no one dies there except that I will be an intercessor or a witness for him on the Day of Resurrection."
