حَدَّثَنَا الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: «كَانَ اسْمِي بَرَّةَ فَسَمَّاهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَيْنَبَ»
Sayyidah Zaynab bint Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: My name was Barrah, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) named me Zaynab.
