حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ، حَدَّثَتْنَا عَلِيلَةُ بِنْتُ الْكُمَيْتِ، عَنْ أُمِّهَا أُمَيْنَةَ، عَنْ أَمَةِ اللهِ بِنْتِ رُزَيْنَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهَا رُزَيْنَةَ، قَالَتْ: لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ قُرَيْظَةَ، وَالنَّضِيرِ جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِصَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ حُيَيٍّ وذِرَاعُها فِي يَدِهِ، فَلَمَّا رَأَتِ السَّبْيَ قَالَتْ: أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَأَنَّكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ: «فَأَرْسَلَ ذِرَاعَهَا مِنْ يَدِهِ، وَأَعْتَقَهَا، وَخَطَبَها، وَتَزَوَّجَهَا، وَأَمْهَرَهَا رُزَيْنَةَ»
Sayyidah Ruzaynah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: On the day of Qurayzah and Nadir, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) brought Safiyyah bint Huyayy (may Allah be pleased with her) with her arm in his hand. When she saw the captives, she said: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that you are the Messenger of Allah. "So he let go of her arm, freed her, proposed marriage to her, married her, and gave her Ruzaynah as her dowry."
