حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَتْهُ: أَنَّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتَ سَهْلٍ، حُدِّثَتْ أَنَّ ثَابِتَ بْنَ قَيْسِ بْنِ شَمَّاسٍ، بَلَغَ مِنْهَا ضَرْبًا لَا يَدْرِي مَا هُوَ فَجَاءَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْغَلَسِ فَذَكَرَتْ لَهُ الَّذِي بِهَا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خُذْ مِنْهَا» فَقَالَتْ أَمَا أَنَّ الَّذِي أَعْطَانِي عِنْدِي كَمَا هُوَ قَالَ: «فَخُذْ مِنْهَا» فَأَخَذَ مِنْهَا، قَالَتْ عَمْرَةُ: فَقَعَدَتْ عِنْدَ أَهْلِهَا ،
Amrah bint Abd al-Rahman reported that it was related about Sayyidah Habibah bint Sahl (may Allah be pleased with her) that Sayyiduna Thabit bin Qays bin Shammas (may Allah be pleased with him) beat her so severely that it was not known how far it had gone. So she came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the darkness before dawn and told him (peace and blessings be upon him) of her condition. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said (to Thabit): "Take (it) from her." She said: "Listen! What he gave me is with me just as it was." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then take (it) from her." So Thabit took it from her. Amrah said: Then she went to stay with her family.
