Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 20927 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Do

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا الْغَلَابِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو هَمَّامٍ الدَّلَّالُ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُعَاذٍ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «لَا تَرُدُّوا السَّائِلَ، وَلَوْ بِظِلْفٍ مُحْرَقٍ»
Sayyidah Hawwa (may Allah be pleased with her), the grandmother of Amr bin Mu'adh, said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Do not turn the beggar away empty-handed, even if it is only with a burnt hoof."
