حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا الْغَلَابِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ الْغُدَانِيُّ، أَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي الْحُسَامِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ أُمَيْمَةَ بِنْتِ رُقَيْقَةَ التَّيْمِيَّةَ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي نِسْوَةٍ فَقُلْنَا نُبَايِعُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، عَلَى أَنْ لَا نُشْرِكَ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا، وَلَا نَسْرِقَ، وَلَا نَزْنِي، وَلَا نَأْتِيَ بِبُهْتَانٍ نَفْتَرِيَهُ بَيْنَ أَيْدِينَا وَأَرْجُلِنَا، وَلَا نَعْصِيَكَ فِي مَعْرُوفٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «فِيمَا أَطَقْتُنَّ وَاسْتَطَعْتُنَّ» فَقُلْنَا: اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَرْحَمُ بِنَا فَبَايِعْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقَالَ: «إِنِّي لَا أُصَافِحُ النِّسَاءَ وَإِنَّمَا قَوْلِي لِمِائَةٍ كَقَوْلِي لِوَاحِدَةٍ»
Sayyidah Umaymah bint Ruqayqah al-Taymiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I came with some women to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and we said: O Messenger of Allah, we pledge to you that we will not associate anyone with Allah, we will not steal, we will not commit adultery, we will not bring a slander that we have invented between our hands and our feet (that is, we will not attribute someone else's child to our husbands), and we will not disobey you in anything good. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "As far as you have the strength and are able." We said: Allah and His Messenger are merciful to us. O Messenger of Allah, take our pledge. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I do not shake hands with women. My word to a hundred women is the same as my word to one woman."
