حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَشْيَبُ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَتْ: «إِنِّي لَآخُذٌ بِزِمَامِ الْعَضْبَاءِ نَاقَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ الْمَائدَةُ فَكَادَتْ مِنْ ثِقَلِهَا تَدُقُّ عُنُقَ النَّاقَةِ»
Sayyidah Asma' bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I was holding the halter of al-Adba', the she-camel of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), when Surah al-Ma'idah was revealed to him (peace and blessings be upon him), and from its weight the she-camel's neck was about to break.
