حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَخَالَتِي عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيْنَا سِوَارَانِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، فَقَالَ: «أَتُؤَدِّيَانِ زَكَاتَهُ؟» قُلْنَا: لَا، قَالَ: «أَفَتُحِبَّانِ أَنْ يُسَوِّرَكُمَا اللهُ سِوَارَيْنِ مِنْ نَارٍ؟ أَدِّيَا زَكَاتَهُ»
Sayyidah Asma' bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) said: My maternal aunt and I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while both of us had gold bracelets on our hands. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you pay its zakah?" We said: "No." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Would you like Allah to put two bracelets of fire on you? Pay its zakah."
