Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 20799 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say

حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْعُكْبَرِيُّ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَطَّارُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ لَمْ يَرْضَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا إِنْ مَاتَ مَاتَ كَافِرًا، وَإِنْ تَابَ تَابَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ، وَإِنْ عَادَ كَانَ حَتْمًا عَلَى اللهِ أَنْ يَسْقِيَهُ مِنْ طِينَةِ الْخَبَالِ» قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَمَا طِينَةُ الْخَبَالِ؟ قَالَ: «صَدِيدُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ»
Sayyidah Asma' bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever drinks wine, Allah is not pleased with him for forty days. If he dies in that state, he dies a disbeliever; and if he repents, Allah will accept his repentance; and if he goes back to it, it is binding upon Allah to make him drink from Tinat al-Khabal." I said: "O Messenger of Allah! What is Tinat al-Khabal?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The pus from the wounds of the people of Hell."
