حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، وَخَلَفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْعُكْبَرِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ الْبُورَانِيُّ، ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَطَّارُ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِخِيَارِكُمْ؟» قَالُوا: بَلَى، قَالَ: «الَّذِينَ إِذَا رُؤُوا ذُكِرَ اللهُ، أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِشِرَارِكُمْ؟» قَالُوا: بَلَى، قَالَ: «فَإِنَّ شِرَارَكُمُ الْمَشَّاءُونَ بِالنَّمِيمَةِ، الْمُفْسِدُونَ بَيْنَ الْأَحِبَّةِ، الْبَاغُونَ الْبُرَءَاءَ الْعَنَتَ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Asma' bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O people! Shall I not tell you about the best of you?" The people said: "Certainly." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those who, when they are seen, Allah is remembered. Shall I not tell you about the worst of you?" The people said: "Certainly." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The worst of you are those who go about spreading tale-bearing, who sow discord between loved ones, and who seek hardship and faults for the innocent."
