Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sayyidah Asma' bint Umays (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I was the companion of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) who prepared her and, together with other women, brought her to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). We found nothing except a cup of milk, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) drank from it, then he gave it to the girl, and she felt shy. I said: "Do not turn back the hand of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." So the girl drank. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give it to your companions as well." They said: "We have no desire for it." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not combine a lie with hunger." I said: "If one of us says about something she desires, 'We have no desire for it,' will that be counted as a lie?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A lie is recorded as a lie, so much so that even a single small lie is recorded as a lie."
