حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا عَوْنُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ، ثنا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بَابَيْهِ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ تُسْرِعُ إِلَى بَنِي جَعْفَرٍ أَفَأَسْتَرْقِي لَهُمْ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ، فَاسْتَرْقِي لَهُمْ فَلَوْ قُلْتُ إِنَّ شَيْئًا يَسْبِقُ الْقَدَرَ لَقُلْتُ إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ سَبَقَتْهُ»
Sayyidah Asma' bint Umays (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! The evil eye quickly afflicts the sons of Ja'far; may I have ruqyah done for them? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, have ruqyah done for them. If anything could outstrip the decree, I would say that the evil eye outstrips it."
