Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 20712 — My mother came to me while she was
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَتْ: قَدِمَتْ عَلِيَّ أُمِّي وَهِيَ مُشْرِكَةٌ فَاسْتَأْذَنْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي صِلَتِهَا، فَقَالَ: «صِلِيهَا»
Sayyidah Asma' bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) said: My mother came to me while she was a polytheist, so I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for permission to maintain ties with her, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Maintain ties with her."
