حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، وَعَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، قَالَا: ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْغُبَرِيُّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ السُّوَائِيُّ مِنْ وَلَدِ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ حَرْبِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ مَيْسَرَةَ مَوْلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَعَنَ اللهُ مَنْ بَدَا بَعْدَ هِجْرَةٍ، لَعَنَ اللهُ مَنْ بَدَا بَعْدَ هِجْرَةٍ، لَعَنَ اللهُ مَنْ بَدَا بَعْدَ هِجْرَةٍ، إِلَّا فِي فِتْنَةٍ، فَإِنَّ الْبَدْوُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْمَقَامِ فِي الْفِتْنَةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah curse the one who returns to Bedouin life after emigrating (hijrah); may Allah curse the one who returns to Bedouin life after emigrating; may Allah curse the one who returns to Bedouin life after emigrating, except in a time of tribulation (fitnah), for in tribulation, becoming a Bedouin is better than staying in the town."
