حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، ثنا حَامِدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْبَلْخِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ دَاوُدَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ بَكْرِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْلَمَ عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ بِسَوِيقٍ وَتَمْرٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave a wedding feast (walimah) of sawiq (barley meal) and dates for his marriage to Sayyidah Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her).
