حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: «تَزَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ خُزَيْمَةَ الْهِلَالِيَّةَ أُمَّ الْمَسَاكِينِ، كَانَتْ قَبْلَهُ عِنْدَ الْحُصَيْنِ، أَوْ عِنْدَ الطُّفَيْلِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، مَاتَتْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ أَوَّلُ نِسَائِهِ مَوْتًا»
Muhammad bin Ishaq (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married Sayyidah Zaynab bint Khuzaymah al-Hilaliyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), Umm al-Masakin (the Mother of the Poor). Before him (peace and blessings be upon him) she had been married to al-Husayn or to al-Tufayl bin al-Harith. She died in Madinah and was the first of his (peace and blessings be upon him) wives to die.
