حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَ: ثنا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، ثنا أَبِي، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَتْ، عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا فَزِعًا يَقُولُ: «وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ، فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مِثْلُ هَذَا وَحَلَّقَ بِأَصْبُعِهِ الْإِبْهَامِ وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا» قَالَتْ زَيْنَبُ: فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَهْلِكُ وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ إِذَا كَثُرَ الْخَبَثُ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came in to her alarmed, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was saying: "Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near! Today an opening like this has been made in the barrier of Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog)" and he made a circle with his thumb and the finger next to it. Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her) said: So I said: O Messenger of Allah! Shall we be destroyed while there are righteous people among us? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, when wickedness becomes widespread."
