Abu Bakkar al-Hakam bin Farrukh (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I prayed the funeral prayer with Abu al-Malih, and he said: Straighten your rows, and let your intercession be good; and if I were given the choice of a man, I would choose him. Abdullah bin Abi al-Salil narrated to us from one of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) - and he was her foster brother - that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no Muslim man over whom an ummah (a group of people) offers the funeral prayer except that their intercession for him is accepted." Abu al-Malih said: "An ummah means forty to a hundred."
