The mother of Manbudh al-Makki said: I was with Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) when Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) came in to her. She said: My son! What is the matter, that I see your head dishevelled? He said: The woman who combs my hair, Umm Ammar, is menstruating. She said: My son! What has menstruation to do with the hand, when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would place his head in the lap of one of us while she was menstruating, and he would pray on it?
