حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمِّي، ثنا أَبِي، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " خَرَجَ فِي جَنَازَةِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ وَهُوَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ أَغَرَّ مُحَجَّلٍ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ وَمَعَهُ النَّاسُ وَهُمْ حَوْلَهُ قَالَ: فَنَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ جَلَسَ حَتَّى فَرَغَ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَقَعَدَ عَلَى فَرَسِهِ ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ يَسِيرُ "
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) go out in the funeral of Thabit bin al-Dahdah (may Allah be pleased with him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) was on a horse with a white blaze and white legs, with nothing on it, and the people were with him (peace and blessings be upon him), around him (peace and blessings be upon him). The narrator said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) dismounted, then remained seated until the burial was finished, then he stood up and mounted his horse, then set off.
