حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْخَشَّابُ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ شَاةً مَاتَتْ فَسُئِلَ عَنْهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّمَا حُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحْمُهَا وَرُخِّصَ لَكُمْ فِي مَسْكِهَا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a sheep died, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about it, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Its meat has been made forbidden to you, and you have been permitted (to use) its skin."
