حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى شَاةٍ لِمَوْلَاةٍ لِمَيْمُونَةَ مَيْتَةٍ فَقَالَ: «أَلَا اسْتَمْتَعْتُمْ بِإِهَابِهَا» ، قَالُوا: وَكَيْفَ وَهِيَ مَيْتَةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: «إِنَّمَا حَرُمَ لَحْمُهَا»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a dead sheep belonging to a slave woman of Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: "Why did you not make use of its skin?" It was said: O Messenger of Allah, it is carrion, so how (could we)? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Only its meat is forbidden."
