Maymunah bint al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her), wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (she was the maternal aunt of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both))

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ وَهْبِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ الْبَكَّائِيُّ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْأَصَمِّ، قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَيْمُونَةَ تَحْلِقُ رَأْسَهَا بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ» . فَقُلْتُ لِيَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ، قَالَ: «أَرَاهَا تَتَبَذَّلُ»
Yazid bin al-Asamm said: "I saw the Mother of the Believers Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) shaving her head after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." I asked Yazid bin al-Asamm (the reason), and he said: "I think she was adopting simplicity."
