حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبٌ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ نَشِيطٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ مَوْلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ انْصَرَفَ إِلَى بَيْتِهَا، فَصَلَّى فِيهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ، فَأَرْسَلَتْ عَائِشَةُ إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ: مَا هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةُ الَّتِي صَلَّاهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِكِ، فَقَالَتْ: إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ «يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَقَدِمَ عَلَيْهِ وَفْدُ بَنِي الْمُصْطَلِقِ فِي شَأْنِ مَا صَنَعَ بِهِمْ عَامِلُهُمُ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، فَلَمْ يَزَالُوا يَعْتَذِرُونَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى جَاءَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ يَدْعُوهُ إِلَى صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ، فَصَلَّى الْمَكْتُوبَةَ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى عِنْدِي فِي بَيْتِي تِلْكَ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ مَا صَلَّاهُمَا قَبْلُ وَلَا بَعْدُ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her house and prayed two rak'ahs there after Asr. At this, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) sent a message to Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her): What is this prayer that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed in your house? She said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray two rak'ahs after Zuhr. Then a delegation of Banu al-Mustaliq came to him (peace and blessings be upon him) about the treatment they had received from their governor, al-Walid bin Uqbah, and they kept making excuses to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) until the mu'adhdhin came to call him (peace and blessings be upon him) to the Asr prayer. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed the obligatory prayer, then prayed with me in my house those two rak'ahs, which he had never prayed before nor did he pray them afterwards.
