حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ غُرَابٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ جَعْوَنَةَ، سَمِعْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ، تَقُولُ: «عَلِيٌّ عَلَى الْحَقِّ، فَمَنِ اتَّبَعَهُ اتَّبَعَ الْحَقَّ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَهُ تَرَكَ الْحَقَّ عَهْدٌ مَعْهُودٌ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ»
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "Ali is upon the truth; whoever follows him has followed the truth, and whoever abandons him has abandoned the truth. This is a covenant that was made before (the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him)) death."
