Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 202 — I heard Ali say to his son Hasan
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ يَوْمَ الْجَمَلِ يَقُولُ لِابْنِهِ حَسَنٍ: «يَا حَسَنُ وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ مِتُّ مُنْذُ عِشْرِينَ سَنَةً»
Qays bin Abbad said: I heard Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) say to his son Hasan on the day of the Battle of the Camel: "O Hasan! Would that I had died twenty years ago."
