ما روت صفية بنت أبي عبيد، عن أم سلمة
Reports Safiyyah bint Abi Ubayd narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 20145 — they heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say

حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ، ثنا عَيَّاشٌ الرَّقَّامُ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، وَعَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ تُحِدَّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجِهَا»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah and Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that they heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "It is not lawful for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for a deceased person for more than three days, except for her husband."
