حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا جُنَادَةُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ زَيْنَبَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: لَمَّا مَاتَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَهُ قُمْتُ أُرِيدُ الْبُكَاءَ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «فَاعِلَةٌ مَاذَا؟» ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَبْكِي عَلَى أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تَفْعَلِي فَإِنَّ لِأَهْلِ الْمَيِّتِ عِنْدَ مَوْتِ مَيِّتِهِمْ مَا دَعَوْا بِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when Sayyiduna Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was with him, I stood up to weep over him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "What are you about to do?" I said: O Messenger of Allah, I am weeping over Abu Salamah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not do so, for whatever the family of the deceased pray for, they are granted at that time."
