It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) embraced Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) with one hand and Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) with the other, and drew his black cloak over the two of them. Then he kissed Sayyiduna Ali and Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with them both) and said: "O Allah, I and the people of my household are (turning) towards You, not towards the Fire." Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, and me too?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And you too."
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon there will be rulers, and some of their deeds will be recognised (as good) and some disapproved. Whoever recognises (the evil) is free of blame, and whoever disapproves of it is safe, but the one who is pleased and follows along." The Companions said: "Should we not fight them?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, as long as they pray."
