حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ أَبِي فَرْوَةَ، أَنَّ مُسْلِمَ بْنَ سُلَيْمٍ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ شَاةً لَهُمْ مَاتَتْ، فَلَمْ يُدْرِكُوا ذَكَاتَهَا حَتَّى مَاتَتْ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: «لَوِ انْتَفَعْتُمْ بِإِهَابِهَا»
It is narrated from Muslim bin Sulaym that Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) related that a goat of theirs died, and they could not slaughter it before it died. This reached the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If only you had made use of its skin."
