Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 20019 — the Prophet ﷺ said: In the heavens there

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُبَيْسٍ، حَدَّثَنِي النَّضْرُ بْنُ عَرَبِيٍّ، عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ فِي السَّمَاءِ مَلَكَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا يَأْمُرُ بِالشِّدَّةِ وَالْآخَرُ يَأْمُرُ بِاللِّينِ وَكُلٌّ مُصِيبٌ جِبْرِيلُ وَمِيكَائِيلُ، وَنَبِيَّانِ أَحَدُهُمَا يَأْمُرُ بِاللِّينِ وَالْآخَرُ يَأْمُرُ بِالشِّدَّةِ وَكُلٌّ مُصِيبٌ، وَذَكَرَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَنُوحًا، وَلِي صَاحِبَانِ أَحَدُهُمَا يَأْمُرُ بِاللِّينِ وَالْآخَرُ بِالشِّدَّةِ وَكُلٌّ مُصِيبٌ، وَذَكَرَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ،»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In the heavens there are two angels; one of them commands severity and the other gentleness, and both are right: they are Jibril and Mika'il. And there were two prophets; one of them commanded gentleness and the other severity, and both were right," and he (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned Sayyiduna Ibrahim and Sayyiduna Nuh (peace be upon them both): "And I have two companions; one of them commands gentleness and the other severity, and both are right," and he (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both).
