It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) set out for Busra for trade one year before the death of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). With him were Sayyiduna Nu'ayman and Suwaybit bin Harmalah (may Allah be pleased with them both), and both of them had taken part in the Battle of Badr. Sayyiduna Nu'ayman (may Allah be pleased with him) was in charge of the provisions for the journey. Suwaybit (may Allah be pleased with him), who was a man of a humorous nature, said to him: Feed me. He said: Not until your companion comes. Then the narrator mentioned the full hadith.
