حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، حَدَّثَنِي هَاشِمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَمْعَةَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَتْنِي أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اضْطَجَعَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ لِلنَّوْمِ، فَاسْتَيْقَظَ وَهُوَ خَاثِرُ النَّفْسِ، فَاضْطَجَعَ فَرَقَدَ، فَاسْتَيْقَظَ وَفِي يَدِهِ تُرْبَةٌ حَمْرَاءُ يُقلِّبُهَا، فَقُلْتُ: مَا هَذِهِ التُّرْبَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: " أَخْبَرَنِي جِبْرِيلُ أَنَّ هَذَا يُقْتَلُ بِأَرْضِ الْعِرَاقِ لِحُسَيْنٍ، فَقُلْتُ لِجِبْرِيلَ: أَرِنِي تُرْبَةَ الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي يُقْتَلُ فِيهَا، فَهَذِهِ تُرْبَتُهَا ".
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) lay down one day to sleep. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was in a grieved state. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) lay down again and slept. Then he woke up, and in his (peace and blessings be upon him) hand was some red soil which he (peace and blessings be upon him) was turning over. I said: O Messenger of Allah, what is this soil? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril informed me that this Husayn will be martyred in the land of Iraq. So I said to Jibril: Show me the soil of the land where he will be martyred. So this is its soil."
