نبهان مولى أم سلمة، عن أم سلمة
Nabhan, freed slave of Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 19981 — she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا قَبِيصَةُ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مُكَاتَبٍ لِأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ يُقَالُ لَهُ نَبْهَانُ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِذَا وَجَدَ الْمُكَاتَبُ مَا يُؤَدِّي، فَاحْتَجِبِي مِنْهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "When the mukatab finds enough wealth with which he can pay, then observe hijab from him."
