حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ أَبِي نَمِرٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: فِي بَيْتِي نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا} [الأحزاب: ٣٣] ، فَأَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى فَاطِمَةَ وَحَسَنٍ وَحُسَيْنٍ، فَقَالَ: «اللهُمَّ أَهْلِي» ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ، قَالَ: «إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ»
Ata' bin Yasar (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: This verse was revealed in my house: "Allah only intends to remove impurity from you, O people of the household, and to purify you thoroughly" [Surah al-Ahzab: 33]. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent for Sayyidah Fatimah, Sayyiduna Hasan and Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them) and said: "O Allah, these are my household." I said: O Messenger of Allah, am I also among the people of the household? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If Allah wills."
