حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا خَطَبَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ يَقْرَأُ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللهِ وَيُذَكِّرُ النَّاسَ»
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered the sermon on the day of Jumu'ah, he would recite from the Book of Allah and admonish the people.
