حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُومُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَيَخْطُبُ ثُمَّ يَجْلِسُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَ الْخُطْبَتَيْنِ»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would stand on the pulpit and deliver the sermon, then sit, then stand and deliver the sermon; he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to sit between the two sermons.
