Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), whose name was Hind bint Abi Umayyah bin Hudhayfah bin al-Mughirah bin Abdullah bin Amr bin Makhzum bin Yaqazah bin Murrah bin Ka'b bin Lu'ayy bin Ghalib

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَدِينِيُّ فُسْتُقَةُ، ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ، قَالَ: أَوَّلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ جَحْشٍ، هَلَكَتْ فِي خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ، وَآخِرُ مَنْ هَلَكَ مِنْهُنَّ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ، هَلَكَتْ زَمَنَ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ سَنَةَ ثِنْتَيْنِ وَسِتِّينَ "
Al-Haytham bin Adi said: The first of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to die was Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her); she died during the caliphate of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). The last of them to die was Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her); she died in the time of Yazid bin Mu'awiyah, in the year 62 AH.
