Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), whose name was Hind bint Abi Umayyah bin Hudhayfah bin al-Mughirah bin Abdullah bin Amr bin Makhzum bin Yaqazah bin Murrah bin Ka'b bin Lu'ayy bin Ghalib

حَدَّثَنَا بِهَذِهِ النِّسْبَةِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، قَالَ: ثنا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، «وَكَانَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ قَبْلَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَسَدِ، فَوَلَدَتْ لَهُ سَلَمَةَ، وَعُمَرَ، وَزَيْنَبَ، ثُمَّ تُوُفِّيَ عَنْهَا فَخَلَّفَ عَلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
Al-Zubayr bin Bakkar said: Before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) was married to Abu Salamah Abdullah bin Abd al-Asad, and she bore him Salamah, Umar and Zaynab. Then Abu Salamah died, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married her.
