حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا أَنَسُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَخْلَدٍ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ، أَنَّ عُطَارِدَ بْنَ حَاجِبٍ، جَاءَ بِثَوْبٍ دِيبَاجٍ كَسَاهُ إِيَّاهُ كِسْرَى، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: أَلَا أَشْتَرِيهِ لَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟، فَقَالَ: «إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُهُ مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) that Utarid bin Hajib came with a silk brocade garment which Kisra had clothed him with. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! Shall I not buy it for you? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Only he who has no share (in the Hereafter) wears this."
