حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أبنا أَنَسُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّ عُطَارِدَ بْنَ حَاجِبٍ قَدِمَ بِثَوْبٍ كَسَاهُ إِيَّاهُ كِسْرَى، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ: أَلَا تَشْتَرِيهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟، قَالَ: «إِنَّمَا يَشْتَرِيهِ مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ»
Abu Mijlaz narrates from Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that Utarid bin Hajib came with a garment which Kisra had clothed him with. Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! Will you not buy it? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Only one who has no share (in the Hereafter) buys this."
