باب تأويل قوله إن الذين يرمون المحصنات الغافلات المؤمنات لعنوا في الدنيا والآخرة الآية
Chapter: Interpretation of the words of Allah: "Indeed, those who accuse chaste, unaware, believing women are cursed in this world and the Hereafter" (the verse)

حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، قَالَ: ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: {إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ الْغَافِلَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ لُعِنُوا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ} [النور: ٢٣] ، قَالَ: " أُنْزِلَتْ فِي شَأْنِ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا
Qatadah said concerning this verse: "Indeed, those who accuse chaste, unaware, believing women are cursed in this world and the Hereafter, and for them is a great punishment" [Surah al-Nur: 23], he said: It was revealed concerning the matter of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her).
