حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: {إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ تَشِيعَ الْفَاحِشَةُ فِي الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا} [النور: ١٩] «أَيْ يَظْهَرُ الزِّنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابُ النَّارِ»
Qatadah said concerning this verse: "Indeed, those who love that indecency should spread among the believers" [Surah An-Nur: 19]: meaning that fornication should become manifest; for them is the punishment of Hell.
