حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو شِهَابٍ الْحَنَّاطُ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ قَيْسٍ، وَسُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ غَالِبٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا نَالَ مِنْ عَائِشَةَ عِنْدَ عَلِيٍّ، فَقَالَ لَهُ عَمَّارٌ: «اسْكُتْ مَقْبُوحًا مَنْبُوحًا، أَتُؤْذِي حَبِيبَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟»
Amr bin Ghalib said: A man spoke ill of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) in the presence of Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), so Sayyiduna Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: "Be quiet, you disgraced and despised one! Do you hurt the beloved of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?"
