حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ هَارُونَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْمُسَيَّبِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُلَيْحٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ: «تَخَلَّفَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ بَدْرٍ، عَلَى امْرَأَتِهِ رُقْيَةَ فَذَكَرَ الْقِصَّةَ هَكَذَا فِي كِتَابِهِ»
Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri narrated: Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) could not take part in Badr because of (nursing) his wife Sayyidah Ruqayyah (may Allah be pleased with her). Then (the narrator) mentioned the same story in the same way in his book.
