Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 19258 — When Sayyidah Zaynab bint Rasulullah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرَّازِيُّ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ سَلَّامٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: لَمَّا مَاتَتْ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ظَهَرَ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُزْنٌ، ثُمَّ سُرِّيَ عَنْهُ، فَقُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ رَأَيْنَاكَ حَزِينًا، ثُمَّ سُرِّي عَنْكَ، فَقَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ زَيْنَبَ وَضَعْفَهَا وَلَقَدْ هَوَّنَ عَلَيْهَا وَعَلَيَّ ذَلِكَ، وَلَقَدْ ضُغِطَتْ ضَغْطَةً بَلَغَتِ الْخَافِقَيْنِ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When Sayyidah Zaynab bint Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, signs of grief appeared on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then it lifted from him. We said: O Messenger of Allah, we saw you grieved, then your grief lifted? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I saw Zaynab and her weakness, and indeed it was made easy for her and for me; and she was squeezed with a squeeze that reached the east and the west."
